On June 14, 2023, Jama Nyeta, together with its cooperation partners Migrafrica, the Migration and Development Council, and Integrationshaus Köln, hosted a job and networking fair at Abenteuerhallen Kalk.

The day event was the second fair of this format this year and at the same time the conclusion of the project Job Fair! Connect.

The fair was aimed at people with refugee and migration experience and had the goal of supporting them in dealing with their professional future and establishing contacts with potential employers.

The guests could inform themselves about apprenticeships, jobs and professions. For this purpose, companies from a wide range of sectors as well as institutions were present to present their offerings and to answer questions.

Among others, Ford Werke, Kliniken Köln and many more were present. In addition, counseling institutions such as Ceno e.V., the Job Center and the Refugee Law Clinic were happy to be approachable with any concerns and questions about the labor market.

With educational institutions such as the Technical University, the University of Cologne, the guests were also able to find out about opportunities for access to higher education.

Visitors and exhibitors were able to get together and exchange ideas over delicious food and music. Musical accompaniment also contributed to a relaxed atmosphere in which many experiences were shared and individual conversations were held.
