{"id":5505,"date":"2023-01-16T14:58:29","date_gmt":"2023-01-16T13:58:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jamanyeta.org\/yereta-folo-promoting-independence-training-digitalization\/"},"modified":"2023-05-04T14:16:04","modified_gmt":"2023-05-04T12:16:04","slug":"yereta-folo-promoting-independence-training-digitalization","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jamanyeta.org\/en\/yereta-folo-promoting-independence-training-digitalization\/","title":{"rendered":"Yereta Folo: Promoting independence &#8211; training digitalization"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As part of the &#8220;Yereta Folo&#8221; project, young people with a history of migration or flight were trained in the independent and safe use of computers, the Internet and smartphones.<\/p>\n\n<p>Whether it&#8217;s creating e-mail access, registering online with government agencies and other platforms, or becoming proficient with a keyboard: without digital literacy, social participation is only possible to a very limited extent these days. Within the framework of computer courses lasting several weeks, we were able to offer around 120 people with a history of flight or migration a comprehensive range of learning opportunities in the area of digitization, while specifically addressing their individual needs.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;Learning by doing&#8221; was the main focus here: from the very beginning, the participants were motivated to independently implement their newly learned skills in practical exercises.
