Sini Yereta – Autonomy for the Future

2026-2027
Tagline

Sini Yereta supports young people with international family backgrounds as they pursue their education and careers in the Cologne metropolitan area. She is sensitive to linguistic and cultural differences, offers personalized support, and treats everyone as equals.

Who?

Young people with an international family background who would like to begin an apprenticeship or are already in one. We cater to young adults who want to shape their own professional futures and take advantage of the opportunities available to them in Cologne and the surrounding region.

What?

We provide guidance and support—both before and during the apprenticeship.
Individual counseling and group programs help with career orientation, job applications, and getting started in an apprenticeship. We’re also there for participants when they face challenges in their day-to-day apprenticeship, in dealing with companies and government agencies, or during exams.

Why?

Vocational training is a stepping stone to an independent future.
We empower young people to successfully forge their own path, overcome challenges, and realize their full potential. Our goal: to prevent students from dropping out of vocational training, create career opportunities, and enable self-determined participation in society.

Sini Yereta combines career guidance, personal support, and cultural engagement—to create more opportunities, build self-confidence, and empower people to shape their own futures.

As a pilot project, Sini Yereta is also developing new partnerships with companies and other stakeholders in the Cologne metropolitan area to create sustainable support structures for young people with an international family background.
