The “Building Better Youth Mental Health” project aims to support young people from six European countries (Spain, Serbia, North Macedonia, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Germany) to protect and promote their mental health. Through a 7-day youth exchange, 36 participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their communication, organizational and social skills in an interactive environment.
Project activities include debates on the negative effects of the pandemic, sports and yoga sessions to promote a healthy lifestyle, and a forum theater on the topic of “Mental health is important!”, in which participants raise awareness of mental health through creative scenarios.
The young people will also develop their own projects to promote mental health in their communities, including learning digital skills through the creation of information materials such as videos and posters.
The project emphasizes the importance of social inclusion, especially for young people with fewer opportunities, and shows how programs such as Erasmus+ can contribute to improving mental health and social participation. Through intercultural activities and the exchange of national practices, it raises awareness of mental health and promotes long-term friendships and international cooperation.
