Safeling is a youth-focused initiative that uses the transformative power of sport and physical activity to tackle the growing problem of gambling among young people. Faced with challenges such as increasing exposure to online gambling and a general lack of education about the risks of gambling, our project aims to empower young people to make informed decisions about gambling.
We want to understand young people’s perspectives on gambling, develop an engaging intervention program that combines sport with educational content to prevent gambling, and support professionals to integrate these strategies effectively. In addition, we aim to raise awareness of the risks of gambling while promoting sport as a possible, healthier alternative.
In addition to Jama Nyeta, other partner organizations from Serbia and Greece are also part of the project. This collaboration makes it possible to pool proven methods and approaches from different countries and develop innovative strategies to promote the social and political participation of disadvantaged young people.
