WAVE II (What About Values? Strengthening Youth Social Work in Europe – Promoting Democracy Education)

2024-2026

The ERASMUS + project ‘WAVE II – What about democracy education, participation and the communication of European values in the context of intercultural youth social work’ and its seven partner organizations promote democracy education and the teaching of European values in the practice of youth social work. The aim is to develop suitable democracy education offers for and with young people – especially those with a migration background – within the framework of youth social work and to support specialists and youth social work providers with innovative methods of democracy education.

The WAVE II project opens up opportunities with further developed and new educational offers that provide the target groups of youth social work with low-threshold access to offers for democracy education and European political education. With practical educational concepts, we strengthen social inclusion and opportunities for young people to participate. European values form the basis of our political education work.

In addition to Jama Nyeta, other partner organizations from Germany, Italy, Greece and Serbia are also part of the project. This cooperation makes it possible to pool proven methods and approaches from different European countries and develop innovative strategies to promote the social and political participation of disadvantaged young people.

Under the coordination of the Federal Association of Catholic Youth Social Work (BAG KJS) e.V., the WAVEII project is supported by extensive experience in youth social work and expertise in dealing with EU programs such as Erasmus+.
