KOMM-AN NRW: Meeting and exchange for people with a history of flight

2024

The “KOMM-AN” project focuses on supporting refugees and volunteers. The aim is to create “arrival meeting points” and expand existing meeting points in order to promote meeting spaces. These places are intended to help refugees find their bearings in Germany and facilitate exchange in an open, trusting atmosphere.

As part of the project, we offer regular meetings, cooking evenings, joint sports activities and excursions, which are supplemented by a wide range of activities. We also provide practical support, for example by accompanying them to appointments with authorities or doctors. We organize further training for volunteers on legal issues and how to deal with racism, discrimination and psychosocial stress.

We would like to thank the Ministry of Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Cologne Municipal Integration Center for supporting this important project.
